1 Million Users On WordPress Mobile

WordPress has announced 1 million users for its mobile service (m.wordpress.com). The application is a convenient way to post and edit posts on his blog to manage comments pages or in mobile situations.

The first mobile application for WordPress first appeared in 2008 on iPhone, since then the company has launched an application for the BlackBerry and Android.

WordPress continuing to develop applications for mobile, the company has dalleur propose an application that runs on Nokia for some time with Symbian S60 (N97, X6) and Maemo (N900).

Firefox Mobile gets a new logo; Announces contest winner and a new logo

Aha.. Finally, firefox mobile gets a new logo!

Firefox had a challenge to create a new Mozilla for mobile logo design. They announced the winner of the competition and chose a new logo for Firefox mobile too :)

From the Mozilla blog:

“The results from the Mozilla Creative Collective’s “Firefox Goes Mobile” design challenge are in, and I’m happy to announce that the winner is “Pocketfox”, by Yaroslaff Chekunov. As the official emblem of the upcoming mobile version of Firefox, we’ll be using this image as an avatar on social networking sites, on mozilla.com, on t-shirts and more. It makes a great addition to our portfolio of Firefox imagery!”

Somehow looks like Firefox is hiding in a pocket – but I don’t understand if this image captures what Firefox could potentially bring to mobile browsing. Do you like it? Shout it loud in your comments below!!

Opera unleashes mini v5 beta, its smoking hot!

Opera Software released a new fifth version of the world most popular and widespread mobile web browser – the Opera Mini 5. Introducing new features and sleek design, its beta is already available for download.

Opera Mini 5 is smoking hot with its big brother – the desktop Opera 10, which was also released about just two weeks ago, with a revamped design and improved functionality. The tabbed browsing comes to the mobile Opera version, allowing fast jumping from one page to another.

Another nice feature in Opera mini 5 is the Speed Dial, it offers a quick access to your favorite pages directly from the browser’s start page. Its also something similar to the desktop version of Google Chrome and Opera 10. And also, the Opera Mini 5 will offer you 9 page thumbs on its home screen, which you can selecte manually or it gets filled up automatically with the most frequently visited web sites.
