We all know about the free antivirus by Microsoft. Now there seems to be a fake one too… Microsoft is warning users about a new threat – Fake version of, the Security Essentials. The fake anti-virus, known as Security Essentials 2010 is actually a trojan Win32/Fakeinit, which installs itself to detect cases of breaking at random infected errors, saying they are infected.

By the end of September last year, Microsoft released a free anti-virus software, Microsoft Security Essential (MSE). As all softwares, even the microsoft security essential was released as Beta. Now the program is being offered to testers\users to test the Build 1.0.1676.0,1.0.1743.0,1.0.1801.0,1.0 .1901.0.

As it was announced earlier this month the final version of Microsoft‘s antivirus package Microsoft Security Essentials is now available. The package is available in English, Dutch and also includes 18 other languages; soon we can see this in more languages.
